Ashlee and Jake began the weekend’s festivities rehearsing at Jake’s father’s federal courtroom in downtown Birmingham. Pro tip - if your wedding venue is far away from the rehearsal dinner venue, use it as an opportunity to rehearse somewhere personal and meaningful to you! Afterwards, dear family and friends gathered at City Club to enjoy the rooftop views and share sweet stories and words of encouragement with Ashlee and Jake at their rehearsal dinner. Jake’s mother surprised them with a Washington DC themed seating chart (courtesy of Lindsey Mc. Design), which is where Ashlee and Jake met. The following morning, bridesmaids were pampered by hair and makeup artists until it was time for photos to begin. Ashlee and Jake shared their first look outside amidst the changing fall leaves, and in the blink of an eye were walking down the aisle to say “I Do”. The newlyweds enjoyed dinner at their sweetheart table overlooking their beloved guests before joining their guests on the dance floor. An Alabama shaker exit was the perfect sendoff for this Iowa bride turned Bama fan and forever Bama fan groom!
